it's quite normal to have even more discharge than usual during pregnancy from what i know and what the doctor told me. but you can still ask the doctor too. better to confirm it. but i notice that pregnant women tend to discharge more during this time. so don't worry.

Clear discharge that doesnt have odour is normal in pregnancy, you say the discharge is yellow, firstly find out if it has a odour and then if it does I would suggest seeing your midwife or GP, it may be due to a bacterial infection or something as simple as thrush, neither should be of harm to your wife or child but it is always better to get anything you are worried about checked out. It never hurts to make sure. Are there any pains or bleeding if there is make sure you see a medical profesional straight away. Try to relax, the human body is made to cope with pregnancy and usually will give very strong signs if something is wrong. Please feel free to ask me anything else. (I am training to be a midwife)

it is yellowish in color but no odour, we were both worried and after receiving some responses that all is well, we have to cancel our opointment with the doctor. she is around 33 weeks pregnant now. please add me as friend so that i can always update you with the development and if i have any other questions i can always send you private mail. during her first trimester she spotted. thanks.

I believe that it is normal to have some more discharge during pregnancy. It is based on my experience when I was pregnant.
But to be sure about that, I believe that your wife should consult a doctor to be sure about it. Because there was one friend of mine who had an infection that caused her discharge.
So i you have time, visit the doctor regularly.

if one has infection would it affect the baby? though, the doctor says she should be coming for weekly routine checks.

It kind of sounds like thrush, it's very normal whether you're pregnant or not. Don't be surprised if your wife gets it after the baby as well.
It's nothing to worry about at all but if you are concerned, then speak to your OB/GYN, just explain it & they will tell you everything you need to know.
You should have done that right away if you were concerned but honestly, there's nothing to worry about at all - i had the same thing with my 1st pregnancy & also with my current one - everything is fine but definitely get it checked out if you're still concerned.

i wouldn't have been worried if not for the fact that she spotted during her first trimester. All the same, thanks for your advice.

As its been mentioned..extra discharge during pregnancy and even more so the further along one gets is perfectly normal...however if she is having any other unusual symptoms OR if you are both that concerned jsut about the discharge I'd put a call into to her Doctor and ask what he/she thinks..thats actually probably your best bet since even though many of us have had kids, none of us are qualified to diagnose your wife ya know..Her doc knows whats going on and whatnot so just give him/her a call...

It could be her mucus plug which is pretty nasty. Either way call the doctor and get her looked at. The muccus plug can grow back but it never hurts to get checked. Any good ob/gyn will tell you to call or come in anytime your concerned during pregnancy. Best of luck to you and your new family.
