What was your all time favourite cartoon as a child?

I loved the smurfs!!! I liked it how each smurf had a different telent. For example there was Handy man, who always fixes things. Brainy Smurf who thought he knew everything. Smurfett - who all the boy smurfs wanted. The joker smurf who loved giving presents that blew up all the time. I also enjoyed watching the Flinstones, my favourite characters were Pebbles and Bam Bam. What was your favourite cartoon when you were younger? I think the cartoons these days are not as good as the past. Alot of them today seem very violent. I say bring back the Smurfs and Flinstones lol!!

i agree with you about cartons today having too much violence in-my favourite cartoon was the flinstones i loved it as you my favouites out of it pebbles and babbam they were so funny, and the way fred was always having a pop at barny then making it up with him--have forgotten freds pet dinosaurs name but really loved him too felt sorry for him though when he was thrown out every night--the other one that was my favourite was bill and ben the flower pot men-imagine if you could hear what plants say to each other,that would be good but they were my favourite cartoons shame they dont make them like that today-littleowl

Fred's dinosaurs name was Dino, he was pretty cool. Never heard of Bill and Ben sounds interesting. Nope they definately don't make cartoons like they used to, wish they would at least have reruns of the cartoons we had so my kids can enjoy them. Thanks for your reply.

Smurfs was one of my all time favorites too!!! I also lliked bugs bunny and tweety and I can't really remember any others off hand!

Yeah I loved the Jetsons too, I am kind of sad how the today our life is not like the jetsons. I thought when I was a kid that by the time I was an adult I would be driving flying cars and step into these machines that give me these great outfits and also press a button and your food is prepared. Wouldn't life be great if it was like the Jetsons, lol. I think I remember Captain Cave man, jogs my memory a little. Thanks for your response.

Oopsies, sorry I didn't realize you ahd posted this and also did so just now. It just popped into my head. Yes, I'm sure that we watched many of the same shows. I also loved Rainbow Brite, My Little Ponies, and Care Bears. I loved magical cartoons so much!

That's ok, lol, I forgive you for posting the same topic. It is almost impossible to write a topic on here that noone that has done before. Care Bears I forgot about them, seems like they are becoming more popular today. I have a friend that still collects care bears. Magical cartoons are great. Thanks for your response.

Well during my time, we don't have much choices for cartoons since the cable tv and satellite were only limited to people who can afford it at the time being in a third world country. So there is not much of programs to watch including cartoons. We only have local channels then. However, I kind of like popeye the sailor.

It's a shame that your missed out on these cartoon, maybe you could hire them out for your kids at the video store they are good value. Popeye was pretty good cartoon, I really did believe if you eat spinach it made you strong, lol. Thanks for your comments.

My favorite...Scooby Scooby Doo!! Part dog, part chicken LOL and always got the bad guy in the end. Every saturday morning was cartoon time, superfriends, captain caveman, and then my all time fav...Scooby and the gang.

I think i would go with Tom & Jerry! Its my all time best cartoon. I beleive its a classic and everybody loves it!
