When was the last time you went fishing?

Im not good at fishing by the way. The last time I went fishing was around five years ago. I was on board a banca (a local fishing boat in the philippines). We were docked in one of the islands in northern palawan in the philippines. There were five of us who had strings and bait. I can definitely hear all the fish and creatures ( all in different colors and sizes) looking up at us saying "yeah right, as if you can catch us". Of course we got nothing for three hours-- this can be attributed to the fact that all of us were amateur (very amateur--those "Ive never done fishing before" type). Believe me, anyone who has been to palawan can definitely attest to the beauty and richness of the place so the excuse of "no fish in site" cannot be made. Finally, after three hours of trying to nurse my frustation (of not catching anything).. I finally caught one fish. It was barely the size of the palm of my hand, but I ate it ..Its not an impressive fishing story but it was the last time I went fishing.. Nowadays when I go on vacations I eat fish caught by someone else. how about you when was the last time you went fishing?
