I have started to have them too, They started yesteday, and so far today i haven't had any. They dont hurt, but boy are they uncomfortable!!
If you continue to have a lot of them you should call into your midwife or doc and see if its normal, i dont think your supposed to have a lot of them. They told me if i started to have them it was my body telling me to SLOW down, relax and put my feet up. Try that ;) with a nice cold glass of milk too! *smiles*
How far along are oyu ? i'm 32 weeks today.

I am 29weeks. They arent anything new. I had to have contractions stopped twice with my first pregnancy. Doctor told me to do opposite if i was on my feet lay down and if i was relaxed to get busy. They dont really hurt but your right pretty uncomfy. How far along are you?

I have 11 more weeks. This one seems to roll a lot more than my first. My first one kicked like she was a freakin soccer player or something. Thought she was gonna break something at times. lol

God! Going through all your responses and comments, my legs have started shaking with fear. Its my first pregnancy and I'm almost in my 15th week. I throught I've had enough of suffering from this horrible feeling of nausea and increased sense of smell, but now what are these Braxton Hicks? I hope I don't have to go through painful Hicks. Hope things get better at your end too.

Every pregnancy is different. My first I felt fine this one I feel like crap. Braxton Hicks are fake contractions, they arent as strong as really ones. They let your body prepare for labor. You will be fine. CONGRATS!

I'm not currently pregnant (tubes tied), but I have had 5 kids. With baby number 2 and number 5, I had horrible braxton hicks. How far along are you? They seemed the worst for me in my 8th month, then in my 9th month I had almost none. Good luck!!! :O)

I am 29weeks. They are just more aggrevating than anything. This pregnancy has flown by for me though. Not sure if I will have another baby or not so I should stop whining and start enjoying.

I think they tend to get worse, and earlier, with every pregnancy! I don't remember them at all with my first, but by the time the third came along, I was miserable! Good luck!

Braxton hicks and after pains become more intense with each pregnancy. This is beacuse the uterus has already experinced these before and therefore has to 'work harder' to maitain a heathy uterus and pregnancy.
I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months.

I didn't had any of these contractions during my pregnancy. Well... yes I did, but I didn't felt them. At the end of my pregnancy I had to go to the hospital every week to hear the baby heart with a NST. Everytime the nurse told me I had a contraction, but I never felt it ...

I had tons of Braxton Hicks contractions during the last month or two of all six of my prefnancies. They seemed to do something since I wouldf get to 3 centimeters dialated weeks before true labor actually began. They were worse in subsequent pregnancies, and I had lots of trips to the hospital for false labor.
