Almost everyone has heard at least one song by the artist Pink. When she first started to be popular she was popular on the Hip-hop and dance charts because she was cranking out that crunk music that they like to bang in nightclubs. Then she started to release albums that sounded a lot more like Adult Contempirary and then she started to sound like alternative rock. Now she's pretty much dropped the farse of hip-hopping and sounding like she has a whole lot of soul to songs of lovelorn angst with heavy electric guitar riffs and a lot of agression.
Hopefully she knows who she is at theis point but what genre of music would you classify her music in now?

Well....!!! I love pink songs whatever the genre is and whatever her style is....!!!!I find cool in every style!!!....
Also I think a singer mustn't limit his/her self to a single genre...he/she/it (Ha ha ha...)should keep on experimenting with other genres too!!!!
A good music is one which sounds good to the ears!!! so I don't think we need ta classify Pink or any other singer under a specific Genre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you will still find her under Hip Hop in the stores. I hate when artists change their style to suit the media. Nothing irritates me more when I turn on the radio and here a country song all techno'd out to make it a dance song. This just drives me nuts.

See I am the absolute opposite, since I listen to artists in every genre of music out there, I love it when a song will cross over from another popular genre and gets a twist in the transition between the two. I think that you are right about where you should find Pink but her early stuff is in the Hip Hop section while the newer music is filed under alternative, at least at the music store I went to here in town.

She would most diffinitly have to be put in a class all her own. her versitality is amazing and to me shows that she is a truee artist deep down in her soul.I've always had her in a genre I created which is hip-rock its rock with funk and spunk, it makes you wanna move your body while bangin ur head. So I have to say hip rock all though her new album got more rrthym n blues kind of feel to it. I think the last album has more soul than any previous album.
