People, even if they are certified music lovers, do not really listen to all kinds of music. I for instance have special preference to certain music genre. I respect the preferences of other people too. However, there are instances when I really get irritated when there are those who play their music out too loud especially when the music they play is not really my type. One of our neighbors love heavy rock, heavy metal and similar types of music. What I really hate is that there are instances when he plays his music out too loud. Some of our neighbors already talked to him about it but nothing seeemed to happen. What do you think should I or we do about it?

Keep your cool but definitely tell him that while you understand his love for music please could you just turn the volumn down a bit so you and he can each enjoy the music you both prefer. I am a lover of classical music which makes some people turn up their noses but I do not begrudge them the type of music that they like so I expect them to at least give me that much courtesy in return.

I can stand loud music, that's my genre actually. I just don't play it out too loud for there are other people who doesn't want my kind of music... Just tell him personally or anyone with him in that house that he isn't the only person in the neighbourhood...

I can live with the loud music most times. What I hate is the upstairs neighbour I used to have who would play the *same* *album* every single day. For six months it was Meatloaf's _Bat Out Of Hell_. Then for almost a year it was _Heart_. Good God man, don't you own any other albums?

I know exactly what you mean I have some neighbors that come in at about three am or so and whenever they do they have their music so loud that sometimes I can really tell you what the name of the song is and who is singing it and I can almost sing along with it...I think that if you live in the right kind of neighborhood that you could talk maybe to the person that owns the neighborhood if someone owns the places that you live at they could possibly talk to them and ask them in a nice way if they could play their music lower!
