my best friend

I am starting to see that online friendships like offline friendships take time to grow and develop. I have not made that many friends yet on Facebook, but, friendship needs proper gardening. If I work harder at it I can have more friendships in time. Think of someone you meet offline: at work, at the gym, church, club, elsewhere. It takes several contacts in most cases before a frienship is born. There has to be mutual relevance and a desire to know more about each other. Some interesr us, by what they say, do, or believe in. Others do not fit any of that and we do not have a desire to learn more about them.

I have three best friends, all of which are on Facebook, that I could never pick just one from. One is my boyfriend, whom I can talk about almost anything with. The second was the first friend I made at college 5 years ago. I would never give her up for anything. She's like a sister to me. The third is a friend from online who I've known for about 8 years now. I went to her house for vacation for two weeks back in 2002, and she is basically my sister by another mother. We are so much alike, I often have jokingly asked my mom if she had had a second daughter 9 months after I was born. ^_^ I loves my Karyn and Nikkichan, and I love Jim so very much.

I have a few of my best friends on my facebook list...How long have i known them? The times range from 11 yrs to 30 yrs...

My best friend on Facebook is a true friend in real life. She used to live across from me when my hubby and I bought our first house. Her kids went to the same schools as mine. I have known her for about twenty-five years, long before we even heard of Facebook and internet was something I never dreamed I would use daily!
