A thunderstorm, in February?

I woke up last night because of flashes of light coming through my window. What could it be, I wondered? After a few flashes and me growing ever curious, the thunder crashed. I couldn't believe it. Of all of the possibilities my half-asleep mind thought of, a thunderstorm was not among them. Very rare. I like thunderstorms, but this one surprised me.

I live in Southeast Missouri....we have severe weather warnings for tonight. Tornado watches, damaging winds....stuff like that.....scary kind of weather...it is 61 degrees here today!

You must live in the Great Lakes Region. We had thunderstorms last night too. After the storms did it ever get foggy! I had to drive to work and had a hard time seeing the road. I couldn't see more than 50 feet in front of me. Should be in the 40's today and then the temp drops again! That's what you get when you live in the Great Lakes Area. If you don't like the weather, just wait for 24 hours, it will change.

We too had a thunderstorm last night! I guess that mother nature is going to throw everything at us this winter. It is in our forecast today for more rain and storms!
