I am not a personal trainer, but I know that doing exercises incorrectly can problems like this. You may need to correct your positioning, maybe have a consultation with a personal trainer. Also, if you are a thin person who works out, you can gain weight as your muscle mass increases. That's not a bad thing; it's your fat to muscle ratio that matters, not what the scale says.

I am not a trainer but I know alot about staying in shape and working out, eating right..You have to do a combination of working out right, and eating right, one or the other alone is not going to cut it.
this is what I do and it might not work for everyone but it has worked for tons of people...including me.
Work out 5 times a week
-day one: cardio 1 hour
day two: cardio 1 hour
day three: cardio 1 hour
day four:upper body toning, lifting weights for biceps, triceps, chest, shoulders, etc.
day five: lower body toning, for abs, legs, waist etc.
Eating Plan.
eat 3 meals a day with 2 small snacks in between.
for example...
-eat breakfest at 9:00am or what ever time breakfest is for you..this is just an example
-3 hours later at 12:00pm....a fruit...
-3 hours later at 3:00pm.. lunch..
-3 hours later at 6:00pm eat dinner, try not to eat after 8:00pm..and if you get hungry a bit after dinner have a fruit or something with protein..or fiber.. later dinner, and lots and lots of water, try to eliminate sodas, alchol very moderate, and sweets here and there not every day.
anyway hope this helps...:)
