Everyone has something that they are really good at & it doesn't have to be a "practical" tallent. What's yours?
Are you the world's best lover? Can you burp the alphabet?
Are you the "super-mom" able to stop tears in a single kiss?
What's your gift?
I have always been able to look at all sides of the situation- sympathy, empathy, compromise - whatever you want to call it. I'm great at stepping outside of myself to see things from someone else's point of view.
I've also got a huge heart & I'm very loving, forgiving, patient & understanding - which comes in handy with the man and kids... lmao

hmmm I never really thought about it in the way in which you have posed your question, but I guess my "gift" would be, that I am an open minded person. I view each thing as "to each their own". It might not be for me, but I don't judge others for their beliefs, preferences, etc.

I think my greatest talent is being able to help friend's with their problems. I can never solve my own but look upon a few of them to give me advice as well. Sometimes I listen and sometimes I'm just bull-headed and should have listened. They have told me that maybe I should do that professionally but I don't relish the idea of going back to school for another degree, esp with young kids at home.

I would have to say I have 2 talents.
My first would have to be the talent for finding bargains I can find a bargain any where. I have proved my self over and over again shocking most people.
My second would be creativity. I am extreamly creative in making one thing from another. Because of this I can decorate on a shoe string budget and make it look like a million bucks.
One thing I am not talented in is spelling if you can't tell lol.

I've always had a gift for writing and I do write poetry and short stories. I am also good at understanding life situations and knowing what to do. I am 60 so have had alot of life experiences that have give me the tools that I need to help people and help myself. I am a reinvented person and like my new self. I like to sing and my husband says I sing really well, but I don't believe him lol.

It isn't how well you sing, it's with how much heart!
My kids always laugh when I sing to them because most of the time I'm trying to sing badly. They cover their ears and yell "stop stop" but it's always with a smile.
I think it's good for them to see that it doesn't have to be perfect all the time.

I am proud of a number of gifts I have, which have practical value in my life. Firstly, I have patience and understanding when dealing with people. Some people say that I'm kind...too kind sometimes, haha, but that's just me. So I can relate quite well to people. I am also a very organized person, so if you give me an assignment, I will get the tasks done in an organized and orderly fashion. I leverage on this asset when I have to solve structured problems, whether at home or in office, because I will break down the issues, analyze the problems, brainstorm the solution, decide on the actions to take and do them systematically. I can write quite well too. In my previous job, I was a senior project manager and I had to write reports and papers, and communicate with senior people, and the ability to write well certainly helps in presenting oneself to others.

Wow, I'm alot like you - my best talent is being able to empathize with everyone. I'm also very good at fixing things. I'm the handi-mom around the house - currently working on making shelving for my daughter's closet out of pvc pipe and scrap wood. And at work I'm the Go-To for just about everything from computers and printers to researching a topic.
My oldest daughter can burp loud and on demand. She's working on being able burp her alphabet. :P
My middle daughter has an amazing perception. She can watch things on TV or movies and understand them to a degree way beyond that of a 10 year old. Unfortunately she is also a tremendous talker and therefore we ultimately hear the explanations of what is going on DURING the show or movie. :D
My 6 year old son has shown a great knack for numbers and math. He loves to work ahead in his math workbook and can count to 1000 - and according to him, 999 is as far as he can count (although if he tried he could go much further). -Tink

It's great when our "super-powers" get passed on to the next generation...lol
My oldest daughter has got a heart of GOLD! She is so kind, giving, and understanding. It's a blessing really.
You would think being the oldest child she would feel ripped off by having to share me with her siblings, but after having a total of 5 kids, and dating a man with 2, she said she couldn't wait for me to marry him so that she could have step-sisters, and to top it off she said I should have ANOTHER baby because she wanted even more siblings! The girl's got some love there....lol

making people laugh is an awesome gift!
I know it's one of the things I just adore about my man.
It doesn't matter how cranky I get- that man can always make me smile. It feels so good to let go of the anger, frustration, any negative emotion & just be able to smile, laugh, and get back to enjoying life again.
You go with your gift!

Hmmmm....I never thought about this question before. I guess I have many talents then--I'm fairly tolerant (except of stupid people!), for the most part I'm non-judgemental and I get along with pretty much everyone! I know I'm not always patient (with my teenage daughter or her father!), but I'm working on it!

I have always tried to follow my fathers example...he was a simple man but he had a lot of faith..and it was that faith that inspired me to keep going even when the times were bad..i thing he told me made me wonder..he always said that he enjoyed the years of struggle..i did not know what he ment until i just retired..don't get me wrong...i love retirement...but all the years from 18 to 62 were a learning experience that if i could i would probably do them all the same way..who knows..? but my talent was and is to make life as enjoyable as possible...eat dessert first...lol

i think im blessed with--being an understanding person
i chose this gift as the greatest because there are a lot of times i have proven to myself im so full of understanding...its somehow makes me put in the situation where it makes me sad because of understanding someone so much that even intolerable mistakes i can understand..
too much of something is really bad..but i just always think this is a gift and therefore i must be happy with it..:)
