I think you must first (in your profile and your interests and also through your discussions and your responses) give people some idea of who you are and what you are interested in.
If you wish to make many friends, then they should know you first.
Create good and meaningful discussions, make intelligent and descriptive responses, read, understand and abide by the Guidelines and the Terms of Service so that you don't run the risk of having discussions deleted and very soon you will find people wanting to add you to their Friends lists - and you will also discover those with whom you want to be friends.

Welcome to mylot 7ooos, I think you will find once you post some more discussions, and answer some discussions that people will get a feel for who you are and what your interests are and you will get lots of friend requests ;)

Hello and welcome to Mylot. Hope you enjoy this site as much as the rest of us do. If you are interested in having friends..check our their sites and respond to discussions there so they know who you are and how you view things.
I do not request friends unless their sites are up..and they have posted or responded to topics I can relate to. Anyway, that is my approach. If you want to check out my site...and are interested in what I like to chat about you can feel free to invite me as your friend. I would suggest filling in your profile and posting photos. Most members check profile pages before accepting new members as friends.
If you create interesting discussions and respond with a couple of paragraphs you will attract friends because we all enjoy chatting about interesting things.

Welcome to my lot 7oooss!
I think to build some friends first you have to make a certain number of posts and then request the members you like as friends. Often people refuses friend requests if you don't have posts coz they think you could be just a passer-by and not an active member.
