What has been stated before about practise is true. I find when I travel to other (non English speaking) countries, I try to learn something about the local language. I am English speaking and must admit that some English speaking people tend to critisise non English speakers instead of helping them. If you have English friends you should insist on speaking English with them and asking them to help without critisising you.

Don't worry your english is fine! it's easy to tell what you mean and that's important. I only speak english and I think talking to people in a foreign language is very brave. I wouldn't even know how to say hello in Indian.

i will merely be echoing what te others have already said, the important thing is that people you are trying to communicate with understand you. i've been reading your answers here on mylot and your questions as well, and i understand them well. i'll be honest with you - sometimes, the grammar or tense needs correction, but it's nothing major, and like i said, i understand you perfectly. practice does make perfect, so keep practicing to speak it and read aloud in english during your free time. comic books and books with a lot of conversations are very good tools to use. make sure you have a good translation dictionary indian-english-english-indian for translations, a good english dictionary for english word meanings, and a thesaurus for alternate words to use. i'm no expert, but i studied english in a private school in the philippines that prided itself with speaking and writing impeccably good english. i excelled in the language, too, all throughout my school life. i guess it helped that that was the first language they taught me at home (although i am fluent in tagalog or the filipino language as well). if you feel you need help in some ways, i'll be happy to help, otherwise, you shouldn't really worry about it! good luck!

I dont think you have any problem with english. If at all you want to improve your english read news paper, novels and watch english news channels and movie channels. The most imporatant thing is watch their lips movement, their accent and their body language.

No matter what standard of your english is. We are not ciriticizing the language errors. you are good in english. you have the ability to convey your feeling and view. that's enough. dear laguages are simply tools of communication. the so called professionals had made it so difficult to understand all the principles and their application. don't worry. do write and carry on ....

I've been speaking English all my life, although it isn't my native tonuge, but it is due to being from an island being an American Territory and living in the States, too. But when i speak it i can sometimnes hear the grammatcal errors or saying things wrong, but that's not important. What's important is if the English speakers understand you.

All the above are right and I will agree each of them. Just be confident of yourself and remain positive.

It is not your English that is important, as long as what you feel or what you write make sense. Participation with sincere attempt to give required information, whatever you know is of great help. You have been doing well and keept it up and all the best.
