Can anybody give some tips, tricks, or just some general insight as to how to effectively promote a blog. I have four blogs and the traffic just seems to be stagnant. I have submitted to directories and a few blog directories. The content ranges from technical, politics, and theology. Any ideas would be nice, thanks.

One thing that is important is making sure your content is pretty original and fits what people would want to read. If your content is not interesting people are not going to read it. So people won't link to your blog whenever they happen to read it, so you are not going to get traffic from other popular blogs. You really need to create a fuss about your blog. Promote it places that are relevant to your topic. Create banners, create posts places that talk about your topic and link to your blog. But don't spam either, that's one way to turn people away from your blog pretty quickly.

Why not include teasers every now and then. Like this:
Day 4- Quiescere
She just satthere.
Waiting for the day to start.
She was left conscious at the break of dawn.
Though every other soul was deep asleep.
It was the day of rest after all.
The Sabbath.
Yet her mind was restless.
And with that, her body suffers the consequences.
She is exhausted.
Though the sun was justabout to reveal itself.
