iphone/cingular service

I recently purchased the ipod touch, and I am loving it. I am considering switching my cell phone service from Nextel (which I have had for almost 8 years now) to Cingular service so I can get the iphone, because that's the only company that services the iphone. I really don't know anyone who has AT&T/Cingular service, so I wanted to ask people for their opinion about their service.

I would NOT suggest paying for an iPhone. They are $500! Find out how to get one for $1.95 :) This is not a joke either. http://www.bestnetinfo.com/iphone

Almost everyone I know has AT&T wireless service and they all seem to love it. A close friend of mine switched from Verizon to Cingular/AT&T so that he could get the iPhone and he said he would never dream of switching back. Everywhere he goes he gets service, and AT&T has a lot of great deals, really good coverage, and, from what I've heard, fairly decent customer service. On top of that, the iPhone is so cool, and like you said, theyre the only ones who service it.
