My left hand has had sharp pains from the shoulder to the elbow then elbow to wrist and then wrist to hand. Just noticed today that the left arm is bigger and has hard parts in it. Right arm is smaller and feels normal. Has hard parts next to the reverse side of elbow on both sides. Other arm is completely different! Can any1 tell me if its carpel tunnel.Thumb gets pain in it to and I can't raise it up relaxing it. It starts going numb and tingling!

I got my carpel tunnel from holding a telxon at work. The pain is in my wrist that shoots across the top of my hand. My hand also goes numb in my sleep and wakes me up sometimes. I,too, get pain in my shoulder, but I also have bone spurs (yes, I'm falling apart). I don't know what the hard parts are, but I don't think that has any thing to do with carpel tunnel. Of course, I'm not a doctor.

the numb and tingling bit certainly sounds like the carpal tunnel symptoms i have, but i'm not sure about the size differences and the hard parts. my carpal tunnel comes from the way i sleep if i twist my wrists in my sleep and lay on top of my hands - thereby cutting off circulation. but i know a lot of people get carpal tunnel from working on the computer as well. in any case - i think it might be a good idea for you to see a doctor because no one's going to be able to tell you exactly what those hard parts are over the internet.
