How to remove the virus which generates .SCR files of actual folders??

Hi friends, I came across a virus many times. It creates a copy of actual folders with extension .scr and sets attributes to the real files as HIDDEN. Now when I scanned them, the virus are removed but the files are hidden and the .scr files are not deleted. is there any solution to it. If yes, then please please give me the solution.
