Mine was averaging around 45 or so. I am sure it could have been faster as I feel I can type faster if I am in control of what I am typing instead of a timed Test.

oh crazy ill check it out. i hope i type fast and i can then build up my typing skills. ill be able to type in my searches fast and my password for when someone is trying to look, they wont have no idea what letter i type.

i got 48 words per minute, i think it's not bad for someone who type the wrong way (i usually use 2 fingers from both hands and my right hand usually moves around the keyboard)... does it checks for accuracy? i usually mistype characters and always use the backspace to correct it...

yeah its not easy to set fingers on keyboard in a right way...otherwise our speed will definately increase...even i m not able to set them properly that's i agree with ur problem.....many thanks buddy :)

66 words per minute for me, but I used to own a newspaper and I was much, much, much faster then. I guess that I haven't been really in the swing of things. Though 66 is plenty fast enough for the things that I need to type any more! There's not a lot of deadlines to meet on Mylot!

I checked my typing speed. It is 70 wpm but I think if a test of 5 minutes or 10 minutes is given then this speed may go up or even down.

Heh heh. I thought I was such a fast typer. I got 67 WPM. I think I freeze up on tests, though, and am faster in real situations. It is easier when the words are directly from your mind and you don't have to read them, don't you think? I think so. It was fun to test, though. I always say I am so fast because I have a lot of online friends and met my dh online. An internet romance will increase your typing speed. lol.

haa..haaa i really like ur response...an internet romance will increase ur typing speed....good...yeah ur right but genereally the typing speed is checked by viewing words from some book or paper...though i think ur speed is good 67 wpm ...even better then mine....so keep doing practice dear by increasing ur internet romance....ha..ha...good luck & many thanks for ur response :)
