I am very keen on photography when I travel. I have many albums containing travel photos on them. A few years ago I moved on to digital photography. I like to store my current photos on memory cards and photos on CD that I have got done at a photography shop.
I have loads of old negatives. I want to find a way of keeping a copy of my photos if I throw these away. How could I do this please? How do you manage to merge your old and new photo collection together?
Thanks

I work at Wal-Mart photo department, we can take negatives, and photos, and put them on a CD where you can make copies later from that, or view photos on your TV using a DVD player.

Wow! I didn't realize that it was possible to put negatives on to a CD. In my country we have Asda which belongs to Wal-Mart and they have a small photography department at my local store. My laptop takes a CD and a DVD. I have a digital picture frame and and I have a television connected to a DVD recorder. Many thanks for your excellent response.

I know you will have lots of photos because you have enough traveling experience. I also have many photos, as you know. I upload them to the online photo album websites. Besides, I will record them into DVDs. Furthermore, I will make a DVD which I can watch the photos from TV with nice songs. I use a software to make this. Besides, I send out these DVDs to my close families. So at least I have more backups:)

I scan all of my photos and I make printed albums of old photos. I also make CD's in case old pictures get lost.

I'm sorry I can't help, but I'm going to keep an eye on this thread as it's something I want to know also.
