So what exsactly is this reputation thing here on mylot?.........

I haven't changed anything in order to better my reputation. I figure that if people like me, they will, and if they don't, they won't. I'm pretty straightforward, and while I am nice, I don't try to pander to everyone just to get a good star rating or lots of friends. :P Yet, I seem to make money, people respond to my discussions, etc. Maybe I'm just lucky that way!

My reputation started out a 7 and dropped to a 3 literally over night. I know it is because when I post comments I don't sugar coat what I have to say and I end up ruffling feathers and then a group of what I have started calling "twits" get together and negatively rate everything I write. I'm glad they have that kind of time. Since I didn't join myLot to make money I could care less about my star or my reputation here. People answer my discussions because they have something to say about the topic not because I am their friend. I even weed out my myLot friends once a month. If you request me then don't post on my discussions I delete you. No reason to have you there taking up space if you aren't going to contribute.

I haven't tried anything different, I guess what I've been doing here are random routines I used to do before. I used to be on the top of my game here, as I was enjoying my ten star for almost a year. Though I would end up to a nine, I'd easily climb back to ten. I guess the discussions being posted here have something to do with it, the less quality they are posted then the lesser we don't receive any positive feedback from the admin or any other members. I'm not doing anything unusual just to improve my earnings or reputations here, I believe that it is not I who has the problem but those people who tries to destroy this site by using and accusing almost everyone. All I wish for them is, if they don't happen to enjoy this site anymore then it'd better if they'd just leave since mylot will move on even if they don't come here antmore. If they don't enjoy their reputations, then they can delete their accounts and get the hell outta here..

Its just an indicator of how helpful you have been on MyLot. When users, or rather, topic starters see that your post is very helpful or good, he/she will rate you and give you reputation. This is done by the positive or negative sign you see beside each reply. The stars themselves do nothing much, its just there for the sake of it. But I think it helps tell users what kind of person are you. Anyway, if ever in doubt, check out the FAQ page. You'll find all the answers there.

I think this is important so that people here in mylot will do their best to have a ten reputation so that he/she will think that many people like him/her.
