What was the worst part of labour for you?

I know a lot of woman will say the pain but i was hooked up to meds the whole time, except before coming in to the hospital. I hated the whole experience. The pushing the waiting, the pain after wards and the healing. I hope I never go through it again...Not plannning on it. I would much more prefer to have a c section than go through labour again!!!

OH MY GOD we must be blood sisters or something...I was TERRIFIED...And it was freezing in that room, so i was shivering my butt off and the doctor told me i had to stop so he could put in the F ing spinal tap....then my hubby...who is no good in the delivery room...he doesn't deal well with the stress of it all not the blood but the stress, was trying to make me laugh to relax me and all it was doing was pissing me off....finally they got it in my back then of course i was going numb and i said ..." I can't feel my legs, whats wrong" I was so totally freaked out by this point and my hubby was no good....but then they had me open and had the baby out and I said why isn't she crying whats wrong...then I heard her and i started crying....man it was crazy. But so much better than my natural birth!!!!

Oh as much as I possible, I don't have another CS operation because I fild the healing process more difficult than when I delivered my eldest normally. Some still feel labor pains even when they are scheduled for CS. The worst part of the labor I experienced was when i was having eclampsia and the OB injected magnesium sulfate in my IV twice and in my buttocks. The medicine was so hot I thought I would die any moment.

I also had stitches after the episiotomy. I think that is necessary to lessen the trauma. For me, the healing time is also shorter when you delivered normally than when you had CS.

I didn't have painful childbirths with either of my children. The most painful thing was them putting the IV in my hand I hated having that thing. I think the worst part of labor for me was you can't have anything to drink while you are in labor you can't have anything to drink so I had to go without a diet coke for 7 hours! That was the worst.

I think they let me have a little apple juice but that was just like pre labour pushing...I pushed her out in like 25 minutes but the labour pains started the day before she was born...I was in true labour for at least 24 hours....it sucked

When I went to the hospital to deliver my first child, I was so naive. I took my makeup, hair dryer and my regular clothes. It took me over 2 months to recover from that delivery. Had two epiderals, one that went very wrong and went through my whole body, it was like I was paralized throughout my whole body. A spinal block was done to stop that. Had to have a second epideral because my child still had not come out by the time the first epideral wore off. I tore inside and outside, even with "the cut". Once the delivery was over, I had to wait for what seemed like forever while I was stitched back up. On top of that the epideral effects were making me shiver uncontrolably. They had 3 thick blankets piled on top of me trying to get my shivering under control. Once all was said and done, as you can imagine I was extremely swollen in the nether region. I then developed an outside yeast infection and three hemrroids. Try slathering cream on an area that is so swollen and painful you can't even walk or sit right, much less want to touch. I swore I would never have another child. ha, ha. Almost 3 years later I had my second child. Pushed her out in 3 pushes, then went directly to the operating room and had my tubes tied. Had pizza delivered to my hospital room and was dressed and walking around the hospital just a few hours later, wishing I had brought my makeup and hair dryer!!
