It could be beneficial for you but then again it may not. A domain name is easier to remember but if no one is visiting your site then what difference does it make, right?
It all depends on how you market your website to how successfull or beneficial a domain name will be.

well i really do not have an idea if it will benefit me or not that is why I am hesitant. you see i have a gruaractivity.ambitiouslemon.com for my blog and i want to make it into a gruaractivity.com - well will it increase my traffic my pr or something like that or wat other benefits it will bring. at the moment i am thinking it will be more cooler heheh.. and it will bring real identification in my blog.. is it really that worth it or i just have to stick it the original

if you wanna register a nice domain name with dot com, i think it is impossibility. nowadays, the number of the dot com domains have been 80 million, that is to say , there is not any good domain you can register. you can think it over, such as dot net ,dot org. If you are determinate to hold a dot com, you can use some longer assembled words or to buy them on some domains trade market, such as sedo.com
