a disabled man comes selling some banana chips in our office. since he cant speak well and has some deformities in his face, my office mates begun to laugh and make fun with him.
they took another banana chip, without telling him. he insisted that the money given is not enough. missing two pesos. they kept on laughing for his words wont come out well as he angrily explains his point. they kept on denying about anything. just watching the poor man get mad, he nearly cried, cause no one tries to listen and he cant talk well.
i was so mad, i took the banana chips hidden and ask them to give the two pesos for it was not fun.
i am now labeled the kill-joy person in the office, and who cares..
i hate people making fun out of something we should not.
i wish i had the power to cure them, i as well will turn them into something worst.. so they will know how it feels to be ridiculed when they did nothing wrong.
its not bad being funny, or making jokes.. as long as its in the right place. right people to ridicule with... and in right time.
wheew..i had a bad day..
do you make fun with disabled people?

You did the right thing.
These people are the worst kind low lifes.
They have problems with their-self, and low self estim - and than they found someone who is weaker than them - and decided to make fun of him.

pls dont look at that bad way, dont forget i am here, i will gladly fight for the disabled.. i dont fell glad when they treat you that way.. we are all the same human beings, if i die, and you as well.. and others.. we all turn into dust, we all leave everything behind, even if we are rich or the most beautiful, we all rot and only the love we share will linger not the physical disabilities we had..
cheer up now, ^_^ i thank you for responding to my discussion.
take care^_^

Hi hun,
I know what you mean and how bad it must have felt. I am more like you who would not do anything close to even harsh to anyone. I have strong values and I would not let it go just like that. People misunderstand me many times but I know that I should not do anything that might hurt anyone. Vehail, it's very easy to be judgmental and people hardly care while dissecting others but the fact is we should not let go of our emotions and values. Having fun at the cost of others is not acceptable and you did the right thing.
Have a nice day, vehail.

No, that goes against both my morals and principals. To share a joke with them is one thing, but to make fun of them abusively is just sick. Feels there seriously something missing in your office mates heads, but cursing them will not solve it. Would be better if you could have healed the disabled man, and let him beat the snot out of your office mates instead.

If your co-workers no longer like you, then that's wonderful for you. Who would want some low-life people that have nothing better to do with their time and energy than to pick on a disabled individual, as friends? You are a better person without them! Some people are soooo discontent with themselves or their lives that they have to put someone else down to make themselves feel better and that is sooo pathetic.
What everyone should remember, because it truly applies to each and everyone of us... is that we are all one accident away from being just like them. Tomorrow, it could be you... so think about what you do; no one is perfect!

I can't even think of such a thought to laugh at the disabled
It is very bad to laugh at the disabled, it is a sin in God's sight anybody can become disabled at any age, God is watching everyone so when they mock the disbaled they have to be careful as whatever you sow you reap.

I actually do not laugh nor say anything at all, whenever I come across with one. Pity is what I feel for them, that I just wish I could do or have more so I can help them.
Your officemates are what I believe worse than that person's conditions, they (your colleagues) must be the one's that are having problems with themselves for they could be mentally disabled..

There are times that i laugh at them but its because i saw somebody laughing. As much as possible i dont laugh because that is not their fault to be like that. They dont want of course to be like that. I pity them usually and im proud to see them making life beutiful despite of their situation.

Hi vehaileairu, No I do not make fun of disabled people, and do not want to associate with anyone who does. You seem to be the only caring person there, and I congratulate you for what you did. As for the others, what goes around comes around. This is a law which cannot be broken, so someday they will know that what they did was wrong. Blessings to you.

as far as i am concerned your workmates are awful people who obviously have something missing in their lives that it makes them feel big picking on a disabled person. i just advise your to stay a good person and keep away from those losers

I think you did the right thing. Those ppl should be ashamed of themselves and they should be reported to your boss. They should thank the good Lord that they were born "normal".

I don't think that it is right to make fun of someone who is disabled and I think that the people that laughed at him should grow up and think about life and that at any mommet they can be injured and end up disabled.

No I do not for there but for the grace of God go I.I have a disabled arm and a left leg in a brace and I have been so fortunate that no one makes fun of me. you were in the right and your office mates should well be ashamed of themselves. what if they had a loved family member who was disabled would they want others to laugh at him or her? They must have forgotten the golden rule do unto others as you would have them do unto you.Let them callyou a killjoy and call them heartless.

Hi vehaileairu,
I am honestly appalled that people could treat the poor man in such a manner.
This situation says a great deal about the people that you work with there - I would not choose to associate with people of such low character.
On the Day of Judgment, they will each have to account for their behavior, which will be a far more serious matter for them than they might realize. And then there will be no-one to support their infantile foolishness, and there will be nowhere for them to hide..
In my opinion, you are worthy of great credit for standing up for the disabled man, and for putting these other creatures in their place. If you felt such anger at their despicable behavior, how much greater will God's wrath then be?

This is horrible. This made me feel like crying for the poor man. Imagine how he felt after this? He's probably been teased since he was a kid for his deformities and to have it happen to him still is just horrible. I feel so sorry for him. I say good on you for finding the banana chips and making them give him the 2 pesos. What terrible people. Stand up for yourself and don't let them call you a kill joy. They are nasty people and I hope they felt bad about it afterwards. There should be more people like you in the world. I would NEVER make fun of a disabled person. That's sick.

I don't like it when people make fun of other disabled people. I stand up for people who make fun of disabled people. I tell them "how would you like it" and so forth. Usually people shut up real fast when confronted about this.
