I used to shop on ebay all the time but the prices on there have become really high since ebay raises their fees then the sellers raise there prices. I am from the US and only buy from the US so I don't have any problems with customs. I did buy a boxed set of ER dvds from out of the country once can't remember where they came from but I got them just fine by air mail.

Forget FeeBay... useless and has always been a bloody ripoff. Which is why I started www.ozebids.com - a completely free online auction site, as an Ebay alternative.

I used to shop on eBay but as of late there doesn't seem to be anything interesting or sellers want an arm and a leg for shipping. I have been ripped off a few times and have had negative feedback left for non-payment which was totally untrue. When the seller realized they made a mistake they had a hard time posting an update so I just gave up on it all together

I dont like to shop in ebay because the payment method is so bad. The system doesnt care for the people. Here in the philippines i trust auction.ph because its very safe to buy and sell items.

I shop and sell on Ebay all the time. You have to take precautions when buying. Make sure the seller has a 99% feedback score and a big number like over 200. That means they have had alot of excelent transactions. I also make sure to state in my listings when I expect payment. If I dont get it I file a comlaint with ebay and they take it from there. I have only ever had one problem from a lady who bought a coat from me. She said it smelled like smoke and wanted a refund. But I didnt state in my listing it was from a smoke free home. Pay Pal and Ebay both said she had no claim. I guess you just have to be carefull who you buy from. Look everything over closely and read there feedback.

I don't really shop on ebay and I don't know why. Maybe because I mostly buy clothes, handbags, shoes and skin care and makeup items, I would really want to check those out personally before I buy. Besides, I am never a fan of auction site *smiles*.

A few years ago, I sold quite a bit of stuff on Ebay. I was very fortunate to have been paid and received good responses from all my buyers. I've also purchased quite a bit of material and items that are hard to find on Ebay. I always check the seller's reputation beforehand. I once had a buyer from Canada ask me to change the description of what was purchased to avoid customs fees I guess. I checked on the fees and was amazed at how much it costs to ship stuff just over the border to you. ..Whit

I have only been a few times but never bough anything, I bet on something once but the price got to high so i dropped out. I like to pay once and be done with it not fight over something with someone 100 miles away or more.

I love and hate ebay for many reasons. Ebay is great for household items, like kitchen utensils, decoration supplies, and many other things. But buying big ticket items is hard because so many other people want them! I don't like it when something I could get brand new for $100 is going for almost $500. That's outrageous. And the shipping aggravates me too! I'm in Alaska, which is in the United States, but every seller on there insists on charging me a ton extra because I'm in Alaska! It's ridiculous because it costs the same to mail something to Alaska as it does to Washington. It just irritates me. Every now and then I get a seller who won't charge me extra, which is nice, but most people on there hike up the shipping and handling fees.
