Snakes in a Dream

Get it? =P LOL anyways!!!!
Last night I had a dream that I am quite curious about! I would appreciate it if someone could try to explain it.
I was with a group of friends, and there was a pretty big snake after us (it was probably the same size as the "Anaconda" in the movie). But this snake didn't just kill people, it could change them. It could make people bad, it could make people follow it, like it took over their mind or something.
But for some reason if you didn't move, the snake wouldn't, or couldn't, do anything to you. I don't know if it couldn't see us (I think it could) but as long as we didn't move a muscle we were safe until it left.
Well, in the dream the snake changed all my friends except one guy. Me and him were running from the snake and we ended up in this big house. We were trying to find a good place to hide, but we knew the snake was coming. When we knew it was upstairs with us, the guy got in front of me, we both kneeled (facing the door) and we sat there frozen, trying not to move at all. The snake came in, got really close to us...kind of like he wa studying us, and smelling us (snakes smell with their tongues remember!) and after a minute he left the room.
The guy helped me up and we got out of the house and started running down the street, eventually I woke up. Don't remember if anything else happened worth mentioning.
But can anyone tell me what this dream could mean? Thank you.

Well I heard a dream expert talk on TV that when you dream of snakes it meant to say fortune or financial gain. But according to your dream you said it changed people. Well I think it is about financial matter. Money could change people. So to say for example if you and your friends encounter such problem regarding money, I suggest you talk and work it out early to avoid miscommunication. The guy in your dream must be the mediator (if ever you and your friends break up because of money matter problem), he would be the key to your group fix and would be the way to resolve anything what was left to repair. As some people say, dreams could interpret what could be in the future. Your dream might be inferring to you that a blessing might come in the sense that it involves money but this will have a backfire. Just be prepared with your relationship among your friends to withstand whatever may come your way. Your mediator will eventually help you (probably that's why in the dream he helped you up and got out of the house). The snake's way of smelling and studying might also be trying to say that there would come a time that money is waiting you to move and it wants to have a better closeup to know where it will go. It could also be drawn for conclusion that the way the snake is not moving when you're not moving means to say that money won't come into you unless you do your drive or get up and be motivated to do something.
I hope I have helped in any way. Let me know. Thanks for posting such an interesting discussion.

Wow, this is a very deep explanation, thank you. I would have never thought of anything like this.
Actually, I am hoping to get a job that would be double the pay I am making now, plus insurance (which I don't have right now). I don't know if I am going to get the job or not. But I sure hope your explanation is true! But I don't think me getting this job would really effect anything with my friends O.o At least I hope not!!

Well I am glad I have helped you in some way. If it means you to get the job, then by all means don't hesitate to! But just a word of caution, you know how fast money could change your life! Hehe. Good luck to your work, and I hope you'll be getting paid even. What work is it by the way? What kind of job do you do?

Could it be that somebody would be out to betray you and a guy, who will be your knight in shining armor in real life, would help you evade those betrayals and help you cope with it too. How romantic! Or it could be a warning for you to beware of new things coming into your life because it might affect or change everything like your friends. It tells you to tread carefully but things will work out just fine. Happy dreaming!

But the only big change I can think of that is coming to my life is my sister is having a baby. But I really don't know how that could affect me negativly...I'm sooo happy about it! (8D And I get to watch him a couple of hours every week day!

I shouldn't share my dreams that contain snakes? And the snake in my dream means I should give money and food to the poor? I'm kind of confused, sorry, hehe =P But I already do donate to charities so I am helping people who need it.

I have loads of dreams that stay with me and I never knew if there was a reason for them, or if they meant anything so I searched on the net and found a dream interpretation sight, so I had a look at it to see what your dream might mean and this is what it says for dreaming of snakes : to see a snake or to be bitten by one in your dream, signifies hidden fears and worries that are threatening you. Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not yet aware of or that has not yet surfaced. The snake may also be seen as Phallic and thus symbolise dangerous and forbidden sexualilty. The snake may also refer to a person around you who is callous, ruthless and cannot be trusted. As a positive symbol snakes represent transformation, knowledge and wisdom. It is indicative of self renewal and positive changes.

LOL I have had some pretty weird dreams before but this one is beyond weird... I dont think it means anything but iif you would go to a sort of dream specialist or something like that she/he would tell you that you should probably be careful and/or something is coming after you if you are moving to fast, but if you stand still and wait then the problem will go away. I think that would be the best way to explain your dream, hope it helped! Good luck happy posting!
