I just recently changed jobs from the medical field to the mortgage field. Its always been something I love to do. Well I got an awseome job with a mortgage company as a processor and well I do nothing I mean nothing. Matter of fact I am at work now talking to yall! The industy is very slow right now. They keep telling me to hang in that it will get better. But I cant help but fill a little bad that I sit here for 8 hours a day doing nothing because there is nothing to do. Should I start looking for another job or just hang in for a while. I am learning all a can now while it is slow but I am at a loss.

Heidi I know how frustrating it is to sit and do nothing when I worked for an insurance company as a customer service rep there where times when I read full books in one day. LOL!! But before I advise you on anything or even give you a suggestion. I need to ask a few questions. 1. Are you getting paid by the hour? 2. Are you only getting commission? 3. Are you paid per application? Once I have those answers I would have a better understanding on what I should say or not say!LOL!!! I wish you luck and lots of work.

If it's what you really want to do then stick it out till things improve but as it's the mortgage field that might not be the most secure of careers with the coming recession.
