My daughter phoned me today really upset. She thinks she is jinxed. Not that she every believed in this before, but for some reason she has it in her head that something is happening to her. The last couple days she has been breaking items in people's homes that she cleans. Yesterday she broke a lamp. She was cleaning the bottom of a table and stood up and knocked the table and the lamp fell off and hit her on the head and she had to go get stitches. This was the third thing she broke in the last few days. Now today she broke a candle holder. She says she had it in her hand and it just slipped out and smashed to the floor. Also yesterday when she got home from work, one of her fish were laying on the floor dead, and she has a lid on her tank so she doesn't know how it got out of the tank. She phoned me crying, today, and told me all this and said she thinks she is jinxed and haunted. She was very upset so I had to calm her down and tell her that things just happen for no reason, that she is not jinxed. I hope she believes me because she was very upset. What would you tell your daughter if she called vrying? How would you calm her down? Do you believe in bad carma or ghosts or jinxing? I certainly don't.

I believe in spirits. The Bible speaks of them. I also believe we reap what we sow. Some people call this Karma. I dont believe that people are jinxed though. I think your daughter needs to relax. When I get nervous I am much more likely to drop or knock over something. I believe that your thoughts have alot to do with things. Maybe your daughter should try prayer and meditation to calm her mind. I think that might help her.

I do happen to believe in good and bad karma, as well as in God and Jesus. I do not take such beliefs to the point of running out and trying to find a counterhex or anything like that. But I do believe that karma is everywhere and sometimes we have more good karma around us and sometimes more bad. I think we all go through times where it seems like nothing but bad karma is around and everything goes wrong. But we just have to breathe deep, relax and concentrate on good things (which attracts good karma) and we'll eventually get through it. -Tink

I would comfort My Daughter to the best of my ability.Certainly unusual happening have entered my life, many of which I have no understanding.I do know though I have learnt to simply say "Go Away" end of story. What she fears will very possibly increase with the emotions she is feeding the occournace,a good idea would be for her to think "Happy Thoughts" "Cheers"

You need to know more about it. Where did she go and what did she do a couple of days or at least within a week prior. Whatever it is, she carries it with her, so very likely it is in the house or maybe it originates from the house. I would find time to stay with her at least a week, she might be just too tired and lost concentration. If you encounter or feel something supernatural there, ask it what does it want and why it's doing this. Pay attention to the answer. Good luck.

Hi there! I certainly feel for your daughter as I too have had my share of bad luck. Personally, I believe in God, the Devil, Karma, ghosts, and Demons. There is a always a possibilty that she is being taunted by a spirit or a demon...but more times then not - when something like this is happening - it is more just about bad luck and bad timing. The chances of actually be affected by a spirit or demon, or heck - whatever one wants to call it - is pretty darn slim. More in likely, she is just going through some sort of bad spot. It happens. I would remind her about mind over matter and that if she keeps telling herself she is jinxed - then bad stuff is going to keep happening because her subconscious (sp?) is going to make sure it happens. Just like someone who believes they are stupid and cannot get math - if they keep telling themselves that - no matter how hard they study - they will never get it right. If she doesn't focus on it, if she starts believing truly that everything is fine and things continue to get worse, then there may be something else happening - but more in likely she is just letting her mind run with wild thoughts. I hope she starts to feel better about everything and all this works itself out! Good luck!!

I believe that bad things happen in threes for no apparent reason. If this were my daughter I would tell her that she was over reacting and to just calm down and not let it upset her. If she is constantly freaking out about being haunted then it is possible she is getting distracted by that and that is why she may have accidentally broken the lamp. My daughter is still young and is sorta catholic so I would give her a crucifix to put up in her home if she really wanted to "ward off evil spirits" but like you I don't believe in this sort of thing.
