How important is it to you to stand out in a crowd?

I find the daily need to be unique and individual. I strive to stand out and get attention that way. I don't always like being like that, but I seem to be good at it as noone seems to have a problem with it and I've only gotten more popular and happy as time has gone on.
Do you like to be different and unique? Or would you rather blend in and just be comfortable following others?

All my life I was a meek mild and shy person who could never stand being the centre of attention until someone came into my life and lifted me so high, gave me a lot of confidence and for a short time I walked in the shadow of someone in the entertainment industry and found myself enjoying a little of that light, and now I find myself not wanting to just blend in any more, i like to shine a bit.

yeah, i was pretty much the same. I would find a group of friends to hang out with at school and just kind of act like i knew them all well. I'd drift around. Eventually I found the group I really belonged in and not only have i become the most popular person in the group, but other groups have seen that and welcomed me into theirs.
