Attack of the flies!!

Sorry guys!! I made a mistake with my first post by somehow combining two posts in one!! THIS is the one I was trying to post!! Here is it in the middle of winter, and you'd think that the bugs would be gone. Not HERE!! A few days ago we hit a high of 70 and I made the biggest mistake in opening up our kitchen window because it has a hole in the screen. Within 15 minutes they started showing their ugly selves. In 30, we were overwhelmed by them. I am talking about FLIES!! Those nasty boogers that hang around trash cans and dog poop and your picnic lunch. UGH!! The house was filled with them and the fly swatters didn't help. Yesterday, somehow they seemed to have multiplied and were EVERYWHERE!! They make me feel so nasty and that my house is so dirty which is not the case. I'm not the perfect house cleaner in that I don't clean my house every day, but when I do clean I do a thorough job!! But they just made me feel like I was a pig. My counters were covered, my floors and ceilings were covered, and every 5 seconds I had one on my arm or face or both. And don't dare to talk or yawn because I had two try to fly into my mouth and one in my nose!! No matter what I did, they seemed to multiply and I felt defeated!! So, we stuck up some fly traps and my oldest son and I went on a massive fly hunt, swatting any that dared to show their ugly selves!! But here's the problem, after all that we did they are still here!! I asked my fiance why there are so many of them, especially being that it's winter, and you want know what he told me? They have started to spread the chicken poop!! See, we live in farm country. We are surrounded by chicken farms and cow farms and what they do is they take the chicken poop from the chicken farms and spread it on the hay and grass on the ground for the cow farms. And let me tell you, the smell, I can seriously do without that nasty smell! It smells like someone hasn't cleaned their butt in about a month!! Just pure a$$!! So now it all makes sense!! I am overwhelmed by flies and now I know that my supposed dirty house is not the cause!! YAY!! But now what to do for the summer...that's when it's the absolute WORSE!
