A TRUE Friend..What is It ?????

to me a true friend is a friend who will always be there for you but also give you the space to live your life, someone who will boost you up and not bring you down to boost their own, a good friend will be honest with you but most of all will be there when needed.

a true friend is someone who'll never betray you no matter what happens.

Welcome to mylot! I feel a true friend is an angel. A gift to be treasured. Someone who is there for you, is honest and trustworthy and helps you through the bad times as well as the good. A true friend believes in you.

The great tamil poet 'ThiruvaLLuvar" defines about a true friend as - the person who comes to immediate rescue of his friend in trouble like one's own hand which quickly responds to a situation where his/her dress loosens and is about to drop down in public place. In tamil the word'mei' gives two meanings -(1) True (2)Body.

Friend who is sincere and time tested is a true friend. Friendship is most sacred and great relationship. We have our brothers, sisters, parents, wife, husbands, but they are not friends. Friends are closer than these relatives. They are more and much dear. The real and true friend helps his or her friend at the moment of hardship. They do not leave their friends alone at the moment of hard and tedious situations. They like each other and their likeness converts in love. A true friend can become a good life partner.

A true friend is someone who has made a life long commitment to someone. I don't mean they have to be married or something. It's like, you have known them for some time, you know them very well, there unquestioned mutual trust between you and that person. No matter what happens in either one of your lives, you will always be available to that person for support and understanding. As opposed to casual friends, people who walk in to a and out of your life, true friends are people who you would never let go of, and you'll do what it takes to keep in contact for the rest of your life.

To me being a true friend means accepting you flaws and all...they love you or care about you unconditionally, are there for you during good times and bad, they are supportive of you, you can trust them no matter what and so on...There are a lot of qualities that make one a True Friend IMO....

True friendship - it is an identity of souls (rarely to be found in this world ).

I've been looking for a true friend all my life, with no luck at all except for my husband. He is the best friend in the world, but I always wanted a girlfriend. I need someone in my life that I can chat with, laugh with, be honest with, share things with, just stuff like that. Girlie stuff you know! That's a true friend...... A TRUE friend is someone who will stand with you through the hard times, the sad times & all the good times. A true friend can never be bought. If one of your friends isn't acting like a true friend then show them what a true friend should act like.

A true friend is hard to find now days. Someone that is a true friend is always there for their friend when they are in need. Someone that is a true friend never judges their friend but listens to the problem and situation and guide them along the way. Soemone that is a true friend never turns their back on you no matter what you go through with each other. They are always there and keep it all the way 100 with you. They don't tell you what you want to hear but what you need to hear. They try not to ever hurt you but tell you when you are in the wrong. You can tell and trust you true friend with anything.

my true friend is my girls that I talk to via email, not see them too much but if I need them they are always there. also my hubby is my true friend, always by my side when I need him , there are few true friends today everyone has an agenda

I think in order to have a true friendship, honesty and trust are both play a very important role. In my case, I dont have a lot of true/bestfriends, but those who are, have been with me through thick and thin. These small lot are able to see me for my true self, I cant even lie to them. They see right through me, and I through them. I guess.. we will get true friends after several natural screening, a natural test to sort who you should trust and who is worth holding on to. Me, Im the kind of friends who'd do everything for my friends. Over the years, I had many experiences of being used due to this tendency. And so I learned who I should cherish and who I should let go.

Yes u r right in todays world everyone is for themselves. My thought of true frnd. Is he/she should be caring,must know what my frnd.need,loving,helpful,and understand frnds feeling.
