Door Open or Closed to Sleep?

I have a weird little quirk about the door having to be shut in order to fall asleep, I'm not sure if I'm the only one. Do you have any preference about the door being open or shut to fall asleep or while you sleep?

I prefer that my room's door is closed when I sleep. I really do not feel comfortable with my door open when I get to bed. I do not lock my door though. I only lock my door when I sleep somewhere else other than my own home.

I prefer doors closed. I'm a college student living in a dorm room, but I always close my bathroom door and my closet door. It's a habit I guess. I feel safer when doors are closed I suppose.

Hi kmdoughert,
It is better to close the door and sleep. It will give a self satisfaction of being secured. This makes you relaxed and in turn this will induce sleeping. Otherwise you may have disturbed sleeping which you will not know because it is your subconcious mind that will be working and making you to think on opened doors. With somany tensions in our day to day functions why should we have one more - door opened?
Good Luck.
