Can you solve this riddle? When I was going to St. Ives, I met a man with seven wives each wives has seven sacks each sacks has seven cats each cat has seven kittens how many were going to St. Ives? I won't tell the answer, I'll just say if your answer is correct or not. Good Luck!

It was a lonely journey, just the one was going to St Ives. You met a man but it says nowhere that they were all going there too.

I believe the answer is one, which is you yourself because you were going to St. Ives when you met all those people (who were obviously going in the opposite direction or just being there without traveling anywhere). The question is, what if so happened they were all going to St. Ives too? =P

Just one! Only YOU! Funny, i read this once when i was 12 years old, but i only got to know the answer when i turned 14. In the book, it was a song sung by village children. So i didn't really thought that it was a riddle.

Well, if your were alone, the answer would be one. ^_^
