Hi mag_keizer2007, In a perfect world there'd be enough myLot members from sufficiently diverse backgrounds and interests that any and every post might receive some genuine responses. I guess the world's not so perfect, though, and some posts probably just fall below that minimum quantum interest level necessary to attract any discussion. Aside from the typical number of participants roaming the myLot forums, time is a second dimension which has a bearing on responses. Given enough time, there's always a chance that a post which has not received any responses at all may still eventually get some replies. This happens regularly, sometimes many months after the initial post was made. Two other parameters which influence the number of responses to a post are the quality of the initial response (which might be more of a discussion source than the post to which it replies), and the poster's community influence (which might mean that other participants actively search for the author's posts, and so are more likely to respond to them - even otherwise uninspiring posts). As a virtual community, all these dynamics are at play with the myLot forum contributions. So one can probably afford to be a little lazy in framing discussion topics if one is an active participant and has accumulated a circle of myLot friends OR if one is patient and can afford to wait a long time for replies, but posts otherwise do need to have some relevance and intelligibility to engage the interest of myLot members.

Luckily, I don't have any discussions left unanswered. Too bad there isn't an option here in mylot wherein we can delete our own discussions or probably even edit it. As for now , I guess encouraging other members to respond to your discussion and for you to do the same with their discussions would be one thing that can help you gain responses. Also, having more friends can help you receive responses because of the fact that your friends can see the discussions that you started. Just be patient mag_keizer2007, you'll be receiving responses soon. Best of luck to you

I think I have some also. I always check out the discussions with no response daily and try to answer a few of them to help people out too.

I have some discussions with no responses. I do check the discussions with no responses from another people, if I can respond them, I will do that. I also hope the other ones can respond my discussions without responses. I think we can help each other on this site.:-)

I do that often becuase I know I don't like to start a discussion and have no responses. Keep them up you never know someone will eventually respond to them.

I wouldn't mind deleting a few of my discussions. If there's no response, I don't see why not. I checked though and don't see an option to do that. If there is one, someone please let me know. Do folks actually respond to discussions that are months old here? Who knew...whit
