I think the book is Way better than the movie!!! I enjoyed the book. I watched the movie first and didn't understand what the hell that was happening. Then I read the book and it made understanding the movie so much easier. I hated how Robert Langdon was portrayed in the movie. He was Mr Know it all Tom Hanks, but in the book he was figuring out the puzzels at the same pace as everyone else.

I have read the novel as well as wathched the movie also.
From a fiction point of view the novel is excellent , no dought about that. But from reality point of view it is true that some of the facts he has described in this book is quite scintific like the concept of 'divine proportion'. One thing is sure that the author has made a lot of study before writing this novel.

What everyone must recall is that this is clearly a work of fiction. The Author took existing theories and meshed them together, sometimes smoothly sometimes roughly. The book was good, but I wouldn't go drawing any assumptions about Jesus Christ from the book. Read research papers instead. Never get your information from fiction.

The contents of that book is just the author's imagination and does not contain the facts written in the Word of God. It is a perversion where it's aim is to make more money through the controversy it generates!
If you want to earn money, become controversial!

I think it's an aweful book. It's poorly written and as far as I know, there already was speculation as to a marriage between Jesus and Mary Magdalene (sp?). So I have to say, I don't think there was much imagination on Dan Brown's part. Plus I read the blurb for another of his books and it was exactly the same plot just with a different girl.
I have seen the film, and actually quite enjoyed it. It wasn't an amazing piece of cinematography or anything but it was still a lot better than the book.
