ok all you brilliant, creative, fun loving people at my lot- I need your help! I am throwing a 40th birthday party for my friend tomorrow night. I need to decorate a cake for her and am looking for something unique and witty to write on top. Everything I have found so far is overdone-over the hill, oh no-you are forty, etc. What is something funny and original I can use to make a statement? Get your thinking caps on and give me some imaginative new ideas!!!

First thing to remember, is your 40th birthday going to be up next? Be careful so it doesn't come back to get you! I did a 30th cake recently. We made a regular cake but did not want to put black frosting on it. We stuck little chocolate covered dougnuts all over it(Frosted it first, dougnuts stick right to the frosting, even on the sides)We stuck the candles inside the donut holes. You have to slant the candles up if you put them on the sides. It is a challenge to blow them out. It was at least unique and different and a great conversation piece. I have also made a cake covered with black silk flowers that you can remove. A black bouquet so to speak. Good luck with your adventure and let us know what you ended up doing.

What a great friend you are. How about "if you can fake that. You've got it made". or "You'll grow out of it", or "Wrinkles merely indicate where smiles have been",or "it takes a long time to grow young", or "count each birthday with a grateful mind", or if it is a VERY big cake "Never trust a woman who tells her real age. A woman who would tell you that would tell you anything". Hope that one of these inspires. Most importantly enjoy yourself.

I don't know any funny statements, but few good ones.
"And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years."
"A woman has the age she deserves"
"The hardest years in life are those between ten and seventy"

Sounds like fun!
How about "Forty is the new thirty, and you're living proof of it."
Or "You're only ten years away from fifty, but it all DEPENDS." lol, "depends" as in the adult diaper. Okay, that might be a little offensive. Let's see....
"Forty, smorty.. age is nothing, but a number!"
LOL... that's all I can think of for now.
