I was wondering if any one heard of the name of the drug used to treat acne, Isotretinoin?
A good friend of mine, her son has been trying to get rid of his acne,He is 15 years old. The dr wants him to take this pill called Isotrerinoin. The side effects are really bad.
Some patients taking the drug end their own lives.
now if your doctor told you to use this drug for your son or daughter would you? Or would you just let your son or daughter go around with a bad case of acne.

Isotretinoin is a potentially dangerous prescription medicine and should be distributed only under doctor supervision.
I wouldn't give it for 15 years old.
How about diet and nutrition. It may help if this boy is on special diet. In most cases acne is affected by hormonal change by diet may ease the symptoms.
