To say i have an unusual relationship with my husband would be the understatement of the year. However, he has been in hospital for a week (he had an undiagnosed ulcer that let us know it was there in no uncertain terms) Anyway, he is stable at last and should come home on monday. The question is, I want to do something nice for him. Now, he hasnt to have alcohol (thats going to hurt a lot, hehehe) he hasnt to have tobacco, (well i think he has stopped anyway) and no spicy food, lol (thats really going to hurt) well, he also has to keep calm, no more stress. Lol he lives with me and works as a psychologist in a maximum security prison, so no chance there. Anyway, i would like to do something for him, any idea?

glad to hear hes on the mend what treatment did they give him in hospital? Perhaps you will continue with his care, well at least give it a try. Once hes regained his strength I have just the thing to perk him up until then i'll leave him in your capable hands tc xx

How about welcoming him home with a basket of the things he's allowed to have, the nicest versions of them? You might also try a big "Welcome Home" sign on the door. If he needs to cut down on stress, maybe a few nice relaxation CD's, like the sounds of the ocean or calming music. Or if you're so inclined, have your room set up to give him an aromatherapy massage. One thing I'd like to say to you, make sure to take care of yourself at the same time you're taking care of him, so that you maintain your maximum good health.

I would suggest that you make something nice for him for dinner that does not break the rules of what he can't have and then maybe a massage would be really nice for him?! It's calming and relaxing and can help to work away any stress he might still have. You could even try a foot rub if you aren't disgusted by feet (like I am) and if his feet aren't nasty hahaha
