There are two anti-depressants that they have found that increases the risk of suicide 8 fold. Now that is a anti-depressant. Your aren't depressed because you have died. (This is not said in humor. This is said in sarcasm.)
They found out 15 years later after prescribing these drugs. I think that the prescription companies should have been watching out for this when they were making it. I have put a link to a site that will go into a little more detail about these two drugs. In fifteen years figure how many suicides have been committed due to these two drugs. It is very sad indeed.
Here is the site.

Tell me what you think about this? Is the responsibility lay on the shoulders of the makers or on the shoulders of the doctors who have prescribed this?

Everybody is responsible. There is always big risk in taking medication. It is double risk when treatment for depression.
To much to learn and we still have no treatment for depression other than really strong pills that are making people more depressed. It has to be more complex diagnosis...

I don't think anti depressant can help u to get rid of Depression..
I guess it can help to calm down your nerves, still after a short moment...
Depression will some how will attack again...
All I want to say is... No one can help us when we're in most depressing moment of our life... Not even a medication... But its you who can manage yourself not to be affected by the Depression... Hopefully we got too much thing to get involve...
Loads of happy memories to treasure... Look for the brighter side in your life...
Be involved what others doing... Be creative! And you'll see the result of mood switching!
