Do your online friends mean as much to you as your off line friends?

I value my online friends, but for me it's difficult to achieve the same closeness that I feel for my off line friends. I care about them, if they hurt I hurt for them, but I would say that I am closer to my "in real life" friends. We go places, I see them playing with my kids, there are here to be a shoulder to cry on ( sometimes literally) when my online friends are not. What do you think?

LOL...Offline friends, what's that? Nah, JK...I would have to say my offline friends because that mostly consist of my family, sadly enough LOL...

Yes, some of them do.
I love my real life friends, but the internet gives me the ablity to connect with people I wouldn't otherwise have gotten a chance to meet. My real life friends are great, but meeting them is based upon chance really- the chance they they come into my life in some way.
But for online friends, the odds are with you. Not only do you get the chance to meet more people, it is easier to reach out and get in touch with people who share your interests.
Not only that, but i do feel like I can connect with my online friends in a deeper way at times. That doesn't mean I don't connect with my real life friends, but that our time spent together is filled with other activities, there isn't always a constant flow of conversation. Online that is all you have.
I have also met several of my online friends in real life, and they have become very close "real life" friends :)

I met this girl on ebay who is a great friend now. We have never met. We live hundreds of miles apart. But we now talk on the phone at least once a week. And we message each other on myspace. She has gotten me involved in a business that is going to change my life. I am incredibly grateful for that. And I am in awe of this girl. She is 23 and has never worked for anyone other than herself. She is inspirational. Oh yeah, did I mention she has 3 kids?

Online or offline, I cherish those who I'd call my friends. The physical distance is one thing that keeps my online friends and me away. But apart from that, I can feel their ups and downs just the same. So as long as the friendship is genius, online friends mean as much as me as my offline friends.

yes there is a lot of difference between online and offfline friends...
You know ur offline friends IN and OUT and see them and move closer with them
When u consider online friends...u can share ur thought s and ideas and as well ask for suggestions but unless u know that the person is genuine it is difficult to put up with them
