Speaking from experience if u want to et into wow clear your calender forever. As for subscription fees i think they still run at about 10 bukcs a month. Im not really suer becasue i used to go by cards. If youre really worried about subsciption fees then i would say play a private server for a while and decided whather or not u like the game.

The base WoW game is roughly $10-$15 U.S. now. There is one expansion currently "The Burning Crusade" and one in the works, due to release this year sometime "Wrath of the Lich King." Each expansion will pull about $20-$30 out of your pocket.
As for the subscription, if you pay monthly it's about $15 U.S. You can choose a 3, 6 or 12 month plan also which will progressively cheapen the "per month" charge. I think the 3 month plan brings it down to about $12-$13 a month.
I also agree, it's very easy to get addicted to.

Well, your looking at roughly $15 dollars a month. They have months bundles for 6 months and a year. You can also by game time cards at like wal-mart and Best Buy. These cost about $30 and get you 60 days game play. That option saves you from having to use a credit card and then forgetting that your susciption is on auto renewal.

Honestly I wouldnt pay for WoW unless I have a lot of cash lying around. I play for free. I use private servers. They have almost an equal experience to paying for WoW. They only downside is there are only about 2000 people on a good private server which dosent even match the number of people that are on 1 of the payment WoW servers.
