any one have any idea about modifying Ignition system?

i've 125 CC 1986 modle engine. it has old conventional ignition system with a timing point inside the magnet of the timing plate. Any one of you have any idea how to convert it to CDI or another ignition system to improve its fuel consuption. right now it is doing 47 km per liter.
