I'm ashamed to say that I allowed life and what not to distract me and then I completely forgo about this place. -_- I really don't know how it's possible to forget you're a member of a place, especially one as cool as MyLot, but I did.
So, to answer my own question. I was gone for 8 months. Ouch.
I was also absent from FusionCash too, which really hurt because I was close to payout ($22 dollars) but they have a policy that after a period of 7 months the money goes bye-bye.
So yes, what's the longest amount of time you've been away from MyLot?

The longest that I've stayed away from mylot was about 8 months which is similar as yours. My reason is because my old mylot account ( www.mylot.com/meeming ) got hacked last February 2007.. I had to settle my account, report it to mylot and hopefully my earnings worth $60 will not be given to the hacker. It took almost 2 months after my account got hacked for me to finally receive my hard earned money here in mylot. It really made me so happy. After that incident happened about Feb-March 2007, I don't know why but I suddenly lost interest to post here in mylot. I was also busy with my studies thats why I have to be away for such a long time to focus on things that matters most in my life.
For now, I'm back again.. Not always posting but happy to be here as I was before. Things have changed here in mylot but its still one place for me on the web to go to and just express what I feel about things. More power to mylot.
- happy postings to you- :L

That really sucks that you got your account hacked into meeming. But if it got all straightened out with MyLot how come you opened up a new account?

Yes. I am so happy that I got it settled. About opening a new mylot account, it was the mylot admin who told me to just open a new account because they can't give back my old account anymore after it got hacked.. And one thing, the only proof that I showed mylot admin that it was my account and that it got hacked was my profile pictures. :)
best of luck to you

Hello joanana,
Welcome back to Mylot. I guess I came to mylot after you. We all have lives outside this community and even though this is itself like a family, we do need to take breaks sometimes to allow for other important things.
The longest I have been absent from mylot was for around a couple of months late last year (almost 7 weeks to be precise). It was because I was busy academically and my online time was on other national forums because of political situation in my homeland.
Mylot also has a policy of annulling the payment after specified period of inactivity. In mylot's 'Terms of use agreement', article 16, regarding payment, it is mentioned that inactivity for 3 consecutive months will make payments unqualified.
I wish you a very good time here after your long absence!:-)

Thank you for the well wishes. Actually I didn't realize that MyLot had the culling policy, I just knew they could alter the amount until payout. Thanks for that.
Either way though, I don't feel upset over lost money from MyLot - it was just discussions. But actually signing up for places and what not at FC and then having that money go bye-bye? Yeah, that hurt. Plus it was way more than I had here. lol

Well I'm sure that you have a very good reason why you took time off here, as what each and everyone of us would do the same. As for the time of my being absent here, it was December last year. I got so busy with my personal life, I decided to stay away from mylot for a while and focus on my priorities.
But anyways, it's nice to see you again. Good luck on your return, enjoy your time of catching up here!;)

Well I guess you could say I didn't actually forget about MyLot, somewhere in the back of my mind I knew I was a member here and was neglecting to sign in. It just wasn't in the forefront. Does that make sense?
I'm trying to treat it like I used to, a forum I enjoyed visiting. So every time I check in at the various message boards I'm a member of I check in here too. Hopefully I won't be "forgetting" anytime soon again.
Good luck with checking in every week. :) I think it's a very reasonable goal you set and you'll manage it just fine.

I think the longest I've been away, since joining MyLot a year ago, was 3 days. I just can't seem to get away from this place! LOL
So you've been gone for 8 months? However could you stay away so long? LOL I hope you weren't close to payout.
I wish MyLot's inactive policy was more like FusionCash where it was 7 months instead of only 3 months. Maybe more people would stick around here if this was the case. But then again if they would have read the terms to begin with maybe this wouldn't happen, at least to those that could remember such a thing. :P
I personally didn't remember this policy until the other day when I looked it up after I saw a discussion about a user losing out on their earning due to being inactive for a few months. It is sad for this person, but what can one do if they agreed to the terms (whether or not they read it)?

I think, in a way, MyLot does have a similar policy. Remember, it does say that the amount of money you earned can fluctuate until payout, and I could have sworn I had more left in my account before I left. But meh, I'll reach payout again fairly quick anyway. lol
What sucked about FusionCash though is that you have to sign up with places or add your email address somewhere. Those offers I can't do again, plus my referral earnings are gone too. It's like a slap in the face really.

I've been away for almost three months. I'm not an active member before but now, I'm becoming active. It's sad that you have forgotten about MyLot. That happened to me too before but now, I'm changing. Good luck to your re-MyLot-ing. :P

I dropped out for about 5 months. If not for that I would have crossed 500 posts and now I may be able to copy and paste. I might also have received payment from mylot. But this time I making sure that I don't stay away for so long.

The longest amount of time that I have been away is a couple days, because my family and business have to come first.

So far since I been a member on this site, I have not failed to log in daily, I think the longest amount of time that I have not log in is less than a day. But I don't know in the future, I might not be able to log-in when circumstances arises.
I do forget other site, but seems this site is the one I would really never forget. Even though it is not paying us high, still it is my favorite site because there are many discussions to participate and interesting post that will help you learn, tips that will help you be aware and you can share experiences and express your opinion.
