What is your favorite quote or perhaps words that you live by? It could be inspirational perhaps, it may be a quote by a famous person, a line from a movie or maybe even something funny. One of my favorites is "Flying is easy, you just throw yourself at the ground and miss". Whats your favorite quote?

I am not sure who said it but this one I love and try to live by as well as I can " Smiling is infectious so go out and infect the world" another is one my grandad always used to say to me as my hands were always freezing cold " cold hands, warm heart" and I think that describes me quite well!x x x

I do wish more people would consider your first quote, me included. When I am walking down the street, I love for someone to say hello and smile. Makes me feel better about my day.

Thats a very good one. Other people do tend to mirror our deficits.

Both well spoken, but I still prefer the first. It really makes a point.

Your welcome. I've always loved that one. There are some more that I like. Here they are:
"Panic sweeps my men when they are facing the American Marines" Captured North Korean Major.
"The more Marines I have around, the better I like it" Gen. Clark, US Army

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace." - Jimi Hendrix
"Better to have something and not need it, than to need something and not have it." - I don't know who said this.

I particularly like the second one, and did you change your profile picture?

I just mentioned this in Pola's 60's music discussion. It's from Barefoot in the Park with George Peppard and Jane Fonda. It's "I can't just pick up my fork and dig into a black salad." Now, I can't remember the circumstances surrounding that quote, but I've never forgotten it - who knows why? I just know that I liked it and it tickled me and sort of said something about life in general. I can pick up my fork and dig into a lot of things, but there are some that I just won't go near, literally and figuratively.

My favourite quote is 'If it's not broken, don't fix it!' I have so many times in the past wanted to improve things so I've fiddled around with them and even though they were working before I got my paws on it, afterwards, after meddling and trying to get it to work better, the damn thing doesn't work at all, leaving me totally frustrated and wishing I never meddled or tampered with it in the first place! Will I ever learn, so I put that up on my profile as my personal mantra to remind me NOT to meddle with stuff in future.

there are quite a lots that i hear but i usually keep these 2 close to my heart you can say. as a sort of encouragement to myself and to be a better person.
1. if they can do it, so can i. hehee this is a simple one. i was always very shy and self conscious so i used this to help myself. though still not there yet, and don't think i'll ever be too as not everyone is same, i have gotten better.
2. a person who learns to forgive is great. a person is who learns to forgive and forget is noble. i had some big quarrels with my hubby when we were first married and always thought badly of him. but reading this, i began to try and forgive him. it's better now you can say. grins
