State governments in India remain mere spectators when street vendors display their wares on pavements and start their business; No one bothers to stop these vendors when they are few in numbers. When an alarming situation comes forth the officials make hue and cry after receiving lot of complaints from the public. Now it is a Himalayan task to vacate these vendors. They know they are occupying this place illegally. But they are reluctant to move because for them it is difficult to find another place on roads to start their business.
They know that they are at fault because it is great hindrance to the poor pedestrians to walk on the pavements.
All of sudden removing about 1000 vendors from the street imagine the hardship the vendors will face. Their day to day earn get affected if these encroachments are removed about 5000 members of their families will face difficult time. When they are in few numbers should be removed. So then there is no problem for vendors and the pedestrian will also not think about complaining.

Hello dear subathra. Here in my town, Anji, China, we also have street vendors, but they are usually organized in a special section of the street. Usually they come out to do business in the evening when evening starts to fall. They usually sell food or they are usually street food stands. Many people who prefer night life visit them a lot. I used to, but not in the last few years, as I pay more attention to food hygiene than before.

Hello, subathra! in India neither the state governments or the municipal corporations take care of the cities and towns for which people sit anywhere and start business.not only that, but also i have seen in my city some influential persons have constructed buildings in government lands and in my area some persons have encroached the road and constructed houses and the Municipal corporation does not bother to vacate them.instead, they always try to evacuate the street vendors who earn their livelihood from that business.it is the demand of these vendors that let the Municipal Corporation year mark some area of the city where they will start their business.however some vending zones have been alloted to these vendors.but the problem yet remained unsolved.these days the problem has gone to such an extent that in many areas you will hardly find any place for parking your car or bike.it is due to faulty town planning policy of the government.what do you say?thank you.
