What do you think of the extra tax rebates that most people will be getting? Do you think it will help the economy, and are you planning on spending it or saving it?
{WASHINGTON February 8, 2008, 05:28 am ET ยท Congress, facing the prospect of an election-year recession, passed an emergency plan that rushes rebates of $600 to $1,200 to most taxpayers and $300 checks to disabled veterans, the elderly and other low-income people. President Bush indicated he would sign the measure}

I think it is a generally good idea. I'm not sure that it was done completely correct. I don't think that those senior citizens who are on SSI and are elligible for rent rebates should neccessarily get it. If there is that much extra money lying around the IRS, I think that maybe further tax relief might be a better plan.
However I will not hesitate to cash the check and spend the money.

I agree with you, I do think that some of the people it is supposed to go to shouldn't get it, they already are getting enough in some senses free and clear, now mind you there are people that deserve it but again not everyone they have it meant for should recieve it.

Of the $600.00, I'm planning on spending maybe $100 to $150.00 at the most, if that. The rear speaker in my car rattles, I might replace that, or even get two new ones in trhe back; something like that. The rest goes right into my savings. And it's going to stay there.
