Dilemma alert! What should she do???

My friend works for a film-maker, who asked her to transfer all his films from VHS to DVD...
Unfortunately, he didn't check the tapes he gave her, and a couple of them were filthy home movies!! (Holy cow!)
So, what does she do? If she transfers the home movies to DVD, he will know that she watched them (and will never be able to look him in the eye). She will perhaps also have to endure the embarrassment of labelling them.
If she gets rid of them with the hope he never realizes that he included them, what happens if he remembers? He will think she kept them!!Good god.
What do you reckon?

Wow, what a dilema. And an uncomfortable one at that. Maybe she shouldn't copy the home movies yet. Keep the tapes out of the pile she has already copied. I think she should talk to her employer about them. She could say something like: hey, you gave me these videos of a very personal nature and I was wondering if you wanted me to copy them to DVD also? It would be an awkward situation but probably the best one. That way she doesn't have to watch them or let her employer know that she watched them. She really really shouldn't get rid of the DVDs. That is his property and if she gets rid of them then she is destroying his property. He could technically bring legal action against her if he wanted to for destroying the tapes.

Thanks for thinking about this...
You're right - she shouldn't get rid of them or she could hit a whole world of trouble.
Maybe the awkward moment endured when giving them back is the best way forward. Terrible, but probably necessary.
After all, I guess it's even possible that he put the tapes in on purpose? They say there's no such thing as an accident don't they?

Nothing wrong with home movies. She doesn't need to transfer them, watch them or get rid of them. She just has to give them back.
There should be no embarrassment there.
But that's just my opinion...

Thanks for your post. As the tapes are all unlabeled, she had to watch a little bit of each... And I know what you mean, it shouldn't be embarrassing, but it probably is inevitable - she thinks it sort of alters the dynamic.
