friends while married

Me and my husband have mutual friends and do well hanging out with couples or people we both like. How do other couples work out their husband, family, and friends combination?

My boyfriend and I also have mutual friends who we go out with often. But we also have friends of our own, which I think is important. I think for a relationship to work you do need a healthy balance of everything.
