Did you know that you can use Google Search to evaluate mathematical expressions? Simply enter the calculation you'd like done into the search box and hit the Enter key or click the Google Search button. The calculator can solve basic math, complicated math, unit of measure, and conversions. i.e.
1. 3+7*12
2. 2^3
3. half a cup in teaspoons

Yeah, i kind of knew that, i hadn't tried what you described as i use windows' calculator for that but i knew you could use it to convert currency which is pretty handy!
