Relationships start many ways, and today many are meeting people online. Once I met someone online and even got engaged, why it ended is another story, but I'd to know how it was for you.

I've never gone that far in meeting the person I met online. I'm open to that possibility but I'm more scared though, because that's a total stranger so I guess I'll never gonna do it.

That's totally understandable. Just remember to follow your instincts and to converse with them as much as possible and wait until you are comfortable. I've always talked online first, then slowly moved to the next step of talking on the phone, and when I felt it was right then I met them in person. And always remember the safety rules.

Hi dramaqn, I have not dated any one so far online. I dislike even chatting about dating with people I met online because most of the online datings are not worthy to trust. Your own story is ended. As you said let us not go on questioning why it ended. It ended. Not only for you but for many people rather 90 percent of online datings are ended for some reason or the other.Putting it in one sentence 'Online dating is not a good thing to do'. this is my opinion. Good Luck.

Well I thank you for voicing your opinion, it's greatly appreciated. As for mine that ended, I just didn't dwell into it, because I can start another discussion on it. It wasn't anything bad, just quite unusual. There was no problem with our age difference (per say), distance, or race. He gave me the world, treated me like a queen. And if not for our different values on friendship we'd probably still be together. In fact, I think of him often and am curious if he finally did marry. I would have been his first wife and I felt honored. The fact that he'd never been married because he was waiting for "the right one", and thought I was her was very special. He'd never even been engaged before. That is truly something special. He and his family are awsome. Many regrets do I have for not trying to resolve with compromise. But I was younger and more stubborn then. Thank you for responding.

I met my husband in an adult chatroom going on 4 years ago. Although he and I just got married in July we've been together ever since. We fell in love with each other from a LONG distance he lived in Oregon and I in Oklahoma. He moved here to be with me. We've had our ups and downs but are very happy with each other most of the time.LOL

Wow, that's nice! Hmm I almost tried it but I guess it was such a bad timing for both of us, so I guess it's best for us to be friends online.

I have not only dated a man I met on line, I married him in September (5 months ago). We are very happy together. There are all kinds of wonderful ways to meet people, all with the potential to have wonderful or disasterous results, depending on the people involved.
