Is the Grey's Anatomy season over?

I think I'm going through Grey's Anatomy withdrawl. Now I realize that the reruns have been on but it's not the same. Now I've heard that the reason that it hasn't been on is because of the writer's strike. Do you mean to tell me that they had no other episodes already written? I find it really hard to believe that they write the episodes a week or two before they tape them. Does anyone know when we can expect to see some new episodes?

I don't know. Over here in Europe the new season starts next week. Can't wait :) But I think it was already shown in the USA.

I always thought TV shows always had so many episodes in the can so to speak, but maybe the stations are showing the repeats as a form of protest, or maybe they are there but need an extra release or something. I get withdrawell symtoms with Big Brother, thank heavens that is coming back soon... :)

There are no episodes written yet. The season isn't over and looks like the strike is almost over now. I believe there will be more episodes. I'm glad to see an end in sight.

Lord I hope it isn't over. Right when I got the tivo fixed they stopped the new episodes. I know that I haven't even seen all of them form this season yet. I am going through withdrawals as well. I have all the seasons on dvd. I have to get them out and watch a few episodes every now and then. And have they changed the day it's on?

I just read in the newspaper today that OUR show will return with brand new shows in April and i can't wait. I was so glad to hear that the strike was over, for the writers, the actors, and especially the fans of their favorite shows.

So now that the strike is basically over, they can get back to writing the episodes. Normally it takes about 4 weeks to get everything written, filmed, and presented to the television audience. Grey's has announced that there will be several episodes to come out this Spring, so I would expect a mid-March or early April return of the show. Still a while to wait, but at least it will be coming back!

As others have said, it's due to the strike. They already aired all of the episodes they had written. Now we'll get a few more once the writers get back to work, hopefully this week. But the season will still end in May. You'd think they'd extend the season out until the end of June or something! What a ripoff for us fans!
