When does your anxiety seem to hit the most?

Mine seems to occur at night a lot. I don't sleep well, haven't in years really, and it seems that when I'm up alone at night, it's time for me to start thinking really strange, random things that seem to keep me up or just really get my mind wandering. However I have anxious thoughts quite a bit anyway, it just seems a lot worse at night.
So when does yours seem to hit the most? What do you do to help combat it when it does hit? Can you really do anything at all?

Mine is when it's the scary times of my life i.e. when I am doing something new. I can't stand doing new things cos that's scary. Meeting new People would be another.

I am not a nite sleeper either. I have all kinds of random thoughts and I get myself all worked up , usually over nothing. I was a nite shift worker 11/7 for over 25 years, and I think that was a big problem. The reason I don`t sleep now. I find excerise helps, but not that much. I read and fall asleep that way, I also listen to the radio talk shows too, to fall asleep. Good Luck,

My anxiety seems to hit the hardest when I am in an area that I don't feel I can easily get out of. It seems to be different from claustrophobia because elevators and small rooms don't seem to bother me, but put me in the back seat of a two door car or hold my arms down so I can't get them free and watch out!
When I find myself in one of these situations I try to talk myself out of the attack.More often then not though, I find a way out of the situation to a place that feels safe as fast as possible! As for two door cars... I sit up front!

Most time, its my work..with ontime deliveries and work loads. I try to divert mind on music and i feel better. We need to manage anxiety, as it is part of life in busy world.
But if we concentrate, we can manage it. I does it through my yoga, listening music and going out on vacation.
